It’s Just a curse:
I’m sick of people with no moral compass
I’m sick of being heart broken
I wish I could write with humour
A sprinkling of prose,
I feel like a rose,
With no thorns!
I’ve even used up all of my scorn
I’m not even angry anymore
JUST COLD
And people like you, have forgotten what it’s like to be young.
You make me wish that I could be 18 again
Nostalgia a bitter curse
In her eyes a broken twisted verse
That makes no sense
But it’s only a curse
Sing me another, sweet sweet verse
Do we need a Shaman or a Sangoma
I’m not too sure
I just want to find something to live or die for
It’s just a curse
Sing me another, sweet sweet verse
Make this evil go away
Or I will
Don’t bother she does not want your love
Just cold indifference, so what’s the difference?
It feels like a century has passed since you’ve been gone
Interference a fearful deterrent
I need a biodegradable detergent
To wash these memories away
This is why I run and never stay
She doesn’t want you anyway
Just cold indifference
So what’s the difference?
I just want to be around people, who make me feel young.
I’m glued to this chair
I sink into despair
But I know it will be okay
I will escape
Second chorus end…

A lost nation

A lost Nation:
We are a Lost Nation
We feed every temptation
All I know is my people are orphanages
The only culture I have is running away
Palaces made from broken dreams
The poor they scream, but those screams are silenced
Deceit our only destiny
Do you think any of this has made any of us happy?
I would rather feel like I belong then sleep on silky sheets
And oh how I long
For the comfort in community
Luxury from treachery
Justifying apathy
Fortifying misery
Do you think any of this has made any of us happy?
Tread lightly
Be mindful
Be careful of what you wish for
All their temptations are just golden nightmares
And one day the tyrants will fall
I’m not sure what the point of this is
We stare into the abyss
A plastic wasteland
Debris from technology
Reminiscing to a time, when we worshiped the land.
Worshiped the mountains
The seas and the sand
Everything under this great blue sky
Oh how we worshipped nature
Nature is all that we will have
When the cracks start to appear
Just remember everything you slaved for
Everything that you and I have slaved for
None of it, no none of it
None of it
IS REAL!

Decay away together:
The house is all bare
And the quiet sinks in like stale air
Everyone I love
Leaves me
Sometimes it’s because of the situation
Sometimes it’s on purpose
Sometimes it’s my fault
Sometimes it’s their fault
Lover
Brother
Sister
Father
Mother
This time I know I will
I will recover
The floor boards, they surround me
The doors and walls are slowly
Slowly drifting away
One hour is mine then I belong to them again
An unwanted trip down memory lane
Only one plate left in the sink
How will I eat my dinner, without a knife and fork?
Take this reality and turn it into fantasy
Delicately, wrapped in misery
Like a piece of candy
Rotting from its own sugar
Come on darling give me a little sugar tonight
And we can decay away together

Rogue Monkey

Rogue Monkey:
Sometimes I feel like that Rogue Monkey
Who happens, to live in the trees above my house.
He’s a killer an outlaw
Yes I fear him
Somehow I still feel we have something in common
I had to steer away from the pack
Ousted by the outcasts was how I was made to feel
Sometimes you have to take a stand
Standing alone
But somehow, I still feel I’d like to find another troop of monkeys.
To call my own
I meet every kind of person as I roam
A Khoisan man walking on unlit roads
Sailors out to stormy seas
Telling tells of tragedy
Women way braver than me
Activists activating change
Gangsters waiting for trains
Buskers busking outside bars
Punks and drunks with so many scars
Men and boys who have fought wars
All for someone else’s cause!
Tsotsi’s with hearts of gold
Drug dealers, whose souls have been sold
Yes I’ve met the living dead
They came to see me in my own head
Celebrities I couldn’t care about
People who make me want to scream and shout
Strangers who have shown me love
And loved ones who have shown me hate
Tattooed freaks nicer than you
And also better looking to
Teachers, Healers, Charlatans
Snake Charmers, controlling pythons
Priests who preach
And Police who have locked me up
Luckily my Dad came and made my bail
Otherwise I might still be in jail
Lovers who have broken my heart
Lovers for which I did the same
Sirens in a forest of shame
People possessed by some ungodly presence
Beggars with no arms and legs
Hobos living down the street
Doctors, Politicians, Lawyers and creeps
Soi dogs with nasty barks and bites
Holy Men
With holy hands
Monks living off the land
Security Guards with degrees
C.E.O’s who never went to school
This world can be so fucking cruel
Yes I swear I’ve met them all
No I wouldn’t lie to you
Please believe me it’s all true
Out there in that great blue sea
Marine life in an aquatic zoo
I have no answers for you
Just tales of woe and wanting to
Joy and sorrow it’s all a blur
In the twinkle of her eye
Oh yes darling!
How I’ve cried!
For you and me and everything
That brings us all back to this
Fumbling in this mortal bliss
Gazing at those great big stars
Sometimes I wish I lived on Mars
I’m tired of all these polluting cars
There must be a better way than this
But how else would we all exist?

Stop Playing:
Oh how we are mistaken
Sacred becomes forsaken
You think you’ve beat them at their own game
But isn’t the point to stop playing?
You perpetuate all the wrongs of the system
You choose to participate
Parting with your secrets
Because they will use your power
Unless you decide to stop playing
Because the reality is there are no rules
Unless you choose to listen
They will teach you lessons
With rhetoric soaked in venom
They will convince you that they on your side
Until the first sword is drawn
They have your secrets, they have your power!
And now they have you
Your weapon is blunt and rusted
Theirs’s is shinny and new!

Loop Station Generation:
I’m sorry but I left my Loop Station at home
I’m sorry but I left my Loop Station at home
I’m sorry but I left my Loop Station at home
I want you to love me; I want you to feel me
Grey days, this artist awakes
Alone again, waves break
Out in the distant blue…
Lover is gone!
She said – ‘You are incapable of loving’
She said – ‘You are incapable of loving’
She said you are in capable of loving’
Incapable of loving, incapable of loving
I’m sorry but I left my Loop Station at home
I’m sorry but I left my Loop Station at home
I’m sorry but I left my Loop Station at home
I want you to like me; I want you to love me
Concrete blocks, block views of the sea
The sea of students surges
Hobos try to rest awoken from the drizzle
My life isn’t so terrible
I’m sorry but I left my Loop Station at home
I’m sorry but I left my Loop Station at home
I’m sorry but I left my Loop Station at home
I want you to love me; I want you to feel this....
The youth is all we have, give them a helping hand
The youth is all we have, give them a helping hand
The youth is all we have, give them a helping hand
Juxtapose possessions,
Would you rather have them washing dishes for a living?
